PHOTOS: Varsity girls basketball defeats Lower Merion

On Thursday, January 12, the Strath Haven Varsity Girls Basketball team faced off against Lower Merion on the Panthers’ home court. 

The Panthers an early lead and did not let up, scoring 51 points in total, and triumphing over the Aces. 

Baskets were scored by sophomore Maryella Gill, sophomore Olivia Voshell, senior Sierra Felder, junior Laura Shea, and senior Mackenzie Irey.

Shea had insights into why the team succeeded. “We played hard the whole game and we didn’t let up,” she said.

“We didn’t give up the lead,” Gill said. “We worked together as a team”. 

The varsity team plays next on Thursday, January 19 at Ridley High School.
