LIVE MUSIC • Swaying side to side, the Marching Band leadership team performs “Hip Hop Stadium Blasters” for the camera during the FOX29 live broadcast in the gym on November 30. A part of the news report covered the impact of the marching band on the football team’s performance. “I love the Band being here. They’re the best band in Delco and in the country,” senior Jake Kitchin said. “During timeouts, they get [the team] so hype.”

Eyes fixed on her pipette, senior Leah Gonzalez-Dias injects DNA into an electrophoresis machine. During the lab, students compared DNA from different produce to determine whether they were genetically modified organisms. If youre too rough, you actually break the gel and it basically invalidates the experience, so you only get one shot, Gonzalez-Diaz said.

“I would say the greatest way I create things is through photography. Last year I took Photography 1, and it showed me photography as an art form instead of just taking photos for events for the news. Since then, I have really enjoyed taking pictures and a bit of journalism as well, but more of just appreciating photography as an art.”
