Devon Soeiro ‘25

Running for Student Council Officer

“I think people should vote for me bcause I’m involved in all parts of Strath Haven here. I play sports, I’m in clubs, I’m a member in the band, so I feel like I’m a really good representative of all the people here at Strath Haven. Through these things, I’ve learned a lot about leadership and am willing to hear people out and represent what they have to say.

I think mental health is a big issue, and I would focus on building awareness and support systems here at Strath Haven for people suffering from any mental health issues, and I would also implement stuff to get students much more involved in school spirit activities, like voting more on school dance activities, themes, and spirit days, stuff like that.

I would also just like to do a lot more fundraisers and advocate for more charitable initiatives here if I was elected.”
