As the weather is cooling down, the new autumn fashions fall into action. Throughout this season, new brands,
styles, and colors have become incredibly popular. By examining professional social medias and fashion articles, this year’s fall fashions have spread throughout the country at rapid speeds. Devon Moyer, a Senior at Savannah College of Art and Design, says that “the trending fall colors are Mustard, Power Red, Navy, Chestnut, Olive, Blush, and Natural Palettes.”

Inside the stores Mulberry, Urban Outfitters, Free People, Altar’d State, Ralph Lauren, Madewell, and Modcloth, these colors are worn in new fall clothing collections. Walking in the halls of Strath Haven High School, I see a multitude of mustard, creme, olive, or maroon sweaters matched with denim skirts and riding boots. This new trend has spread throughout all grades and age groups, from freshmen to seniors. However, when wearing more casual styles, some students enjoy a comfier look to stay warm. Jeff Conner and Amir Pio give insight on recurring fall clothing saying, “I usually just wear jeans with a flannel” and “Many guys still wear Jordan’s, Nike’s, and Vans.” Katie Nazaridis tells me her “favorite fall pieces are ripped jeans, big sweaters, and over the knee boots.” All of these singular articles can be seen throughout our high school hallways.

Some fall styles that spice up a fun night out include: fur coats/vests, oversized sweatshirt/sweater dresses, and long sleeve bodysuits with envelope skirts. These new trends create a comfy, nerdy styles, taking an artisanal approach, long layers with luxe knits with simple styles.” This style, along with many others, can be found on WGSN.com; this website is a major fashion forecasting website. I think these new trends are appealing, comfortable, and affordable. They’re great pieces that everyone can stock up on for a cozy night in, or a cold night out. yet fashion-forward, look to walk our city streets. Jalyn Prochniak agrees with these pieces saying, “One of my favorite fall trends is definitely the fur vests and coats. I also really love the new headbands and colors everyone has been wearing.” There are tons of new styles making an appearance this season, and
